Electronic Music |
Electronic Music is a music composition course in which students learn to create music using MIDI synthesizers, computers, and other electronic equipment. Over 100 Galvin students from Grades 6, 7, & 8 are involved in this course.
Students can choose from 128 different sounds including orchestral instruments, synthesized sounds, and sound effects. Sonar, the music software we use, enables the students to record their music directly into the computer. Once the music is recorded, it can be edited and manipulated. Students can experiment with different arrangements of their music and print them out in traditional musical notation.
Projects include original compositions, arrangements of non original music, jingles, and multimedia presentations.
